Events, Activities, Workshops and Tours

Activities at Pontefract Castle:

Mon 6 September - Saturday 11 September 10am-4pm FREE

Pivotal is an art installation which encourages connection between people and the natural world. The installation was created by Wakefield artist Natalie Bellingham, with support from Brian Fell and Son Sculpture & Metalwork.

You are invited to sit on the wooden seats and gently ‘seesaw’. By working together you will find a rhythm that creates the sound of birds.

Suitable for all the family. Pivotal has been funded as part of Festival of the Earth, led by Wakefield Council from July to October 2021 across the Wakefield district.

Dungeon Tours

Dungeon tours are still on hold for the time being but we are working on bringing them back in mid September.
